Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is the national-level engineering entrance exam for admission to B.Tech, B.E., B.Arch and B.Plan programmes in India. Exam Pattern (B.Tech/B.E.)
- Duration: 3 hours (4 hours for PwD candidates)
- Mode: Computer-based test
- Sections: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
- Total questions: 90 (75 to be attempted)
- Marking: +4 for correct answer, -1 for wrong answer
- Total marks: 300
Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- There is no age limit; however, candidates should have passed the qualifying exam in 2023, 2024 or be appearing in 2025.
- For admission to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs, candidates need at least 75% in the qualifying exam or be in the top 20 percentile.
